How the federal award table is reproduced.

Transaction evidence requires an identifiable record and a preserved response.

The query

Query the USAspending spending_by_award search endpoint with the procurement identifier as a keyword, contract award types, and fields for Award ID, recipient, start date, Award Amount, description, awarding agency and generated_internal_id. Exact-match Award ID before accepting a result.

What is retained

Each raw JSON response is stored in the project provenance directory. The rendered record uses the returned generated_internal_id for its public award link. Original ledger transcriptions remain separately preserved. Records without a reproduced exact match are omitted from the public table.

Interpretation

This is a federal contract value, not a retail machine price. Configuration, quantity, services and modifications may differ; do not use it as a calculator default.
